Our History & Team
Our Story
In 2017, the leaders of our ‘mother’ church in Donabate had a vision of starting another church in Balbriggan as the church family was outgrowing their premises.
A number of families were living in Balbriggan but travelling down to Donabate for the Sunday service.
Over time this group began to meet and pray for Balbriggan, read the Bible together and grow in our faith.
In January 2020 we started weekly services in Balbriggan Clubs community centre which we have called our home ever since.
We thank God that he has brought us together as a church family from many different backgrounds and 26 nationalities to be a church family in Balbriggan
In the early days there were a few dozen people who came along. Nowadays, there are over 100 people who are part of our Church community.
Few of us are from a Presbyterian background but we are made up of people with all kinds of religious, educational, social and ethnic backgrounds.
Everyone is always welcome.
Our Team
Our team is made up of full-time Ministers, staff workers, Elders, and volunteer leaders. Our ministers and elders are elected by our members to serve. Currently, Balbriggan Church is overseen by Elders from Donabate Presbyterian Church, our mother church. Associate Minister
Hello, I’m Josh and I’m the pastor of Balbriggan Presbyterian Church. I’m married to Kathryn and we have 2 boys called Danny and Joseph. I became a Christian as a teenager and since then I have discovered incredible hope and meaning in following Jesus. I love our town of Balbriggan and how friendly and down to earth everyone is. I enjoy going for walks with my family down by the beach, learning BJJ, and playing the guitar.
I’m thankful to God that He has brought us to live in this beautiful place!

Minister (Bible teacher & pastor)
Andy is our minister in our mother church in Donabate and he also oversees our church in Balbriggan. He is from Glasnevin in Dublin and is married to Victoria. They have two sons, Reuben and Joseph, and a daughter, Martha. Andy didn't grow up going to a Church but became a Christian when friends of his invited him to their Church. He loves trying to help people understand God and the Bible. He enjoys going for dinner with Victoria, and playing with Reuben, Martha, and Joseph. He's more passionate about Liverpool FC than a man of his age should be.

Ministry Workers
Scott and Becca moved to Ireland from the United States in 2019 with their son Lewis, and since moving to Ireland their family has grown to four with the arrival of Aela. Both Becca and Scott trusted in Christ at an early age, and their own relationships with God have been the one constant through the ups and downs of life. They love helping people discover just how beautiful God is and how much He loves us. Scott and Becca enjoy cooking together, learning new languages, and exploring this new island they call home.
